I had the chance to take engagement shots for a lovely couple recently. They will be using them for their Save the Date cards, as well as the newspaper. We had wanted to take some out door shots, but with the weather in Boston now and the fact it gets dark so early, that didn’t happen!

My friend G is a bit early to do official tummy pictures, so that’s not what we wanted to get. I just wanted to take a few snaps of my good friend in her lovely pregnant beauty. I think I got a few for her to remember, what do you think?
A day at the pub with friends….

I was in New Hampshire with some good friends this weekend and had the chance to see little ‘A’ again…and meet little ‘J’. This is an annual gathering with my friends, and the more we do it….the bigger the additions get! 
I’m worried I’ve done baby ‘J’ a disservice posting these as he’s incredibly mellow. But nothing says cute to a non-mom than a meltdown pic!
Remembering Fall…..

It seems fall is starting to leave New England. The trees are all losing their leaves (which means much raking to my husband’s shagrin!) and the temperature keeps dropping and dropping. This fall I did a few shoots outside in the colors, it’s such a perfect time for pictures. Coming up is winter and the first snow….perfect for ’snow baby’ shots!
I did a shoot in Norris Reservation in Norwell MA with a family recently and fell in love with it there. I’d never been there before, and it’s yet another reason I love doing family shoots-discovering new places to explore! The weekend after the shoot with the ‘C’ family below, my husband and I took a leisurely wander and enjoyed the colors. Here is my favorite shot from that day. It just reminds me to stop and take a look around sometimes at the beautiful things nature has to offer.
By the way, Norris is a Trustees of the Reservations property. If you’re local in MA, I highly recommend joining the trustees. As a member we get to visit Worlds End in Hingham which is the most beautiful spot along the water. There are many Trustees properties across MA, and your membership helps keep these beautiful properties going. There are also many events for families and individuals! I had such a great time with this family. Little ‘L’ was a joy and so full of energy. He was absolutely in love with the water, and wanted to take a swim every free moment! Thanks for letting me share this time with you D & S & L. Hope you enjoy the rest of the pictures!

I haven’t had the chance to see this little one for quite some time….today her mother stopped by and as always, took that as my time to drag out the camera. I look at this picture and she looks just like a doll baby! Thanks for the walk Sue and Abby, sorry about the wind!!!!!

I did a tummy photo shoot this weekend back in my hometown in Connecticut. This couple has been waititng patiently for their little one, but mommy is on modified bedrest and is READY! Regardless, i think the happiness and anticipation shows in their eyes. Congrats to the B family, I can’t wait to meet your little one! I’ll be posting more pictures from this session soon….these are just the first of the bunch.

One of the hardest things about deciding to do a photo shoot (other than choosing a photographer from all the great ones out there!) is once you’ve booked….what do you wear??!!!! Going from past experience and from learning from so many talented photographers, I’ve put my thoughts on paper. Ok, on the internet…but that’s close enough to paper for now!
